DECEMBER THRU MARCH

Our lion hunts are 10 days hunts; we hunt primarily on horses or mules with the use of hounds. Located in Southern New Mexico most of out hunting is done on dry ground, which is why we allow 10 days for our lion hunts. If a hunter is unable to come for 10 consecutive days we can break it into several time frames. For those of you with a limited time schedule we may be able to hunt when weather conditions are more favorable or a lion is located in a particular area.

Be prepared as lion hunts can be very physical. Lions like rough rocky country, which can require some serious horseback and footwork to harvest a nice trophy.

A hunter must purchase a lion license at least 2 days prior to the start of the hunt. This can be done by mail on Form 3 in the New Mexico big game proclamation, which I can mail to you in advance.
